Launch of a new UCITS in collaboration with TCW Group, Morgan Stanley and Longchamp AM

London, Monday September 16th, 2013 – Morgan Stanley (NYSE/ MS) today announced the launch of a new fund, the MS TCW Unconstrained Plus Bond Fund (the “Fund”) under its FundLogic Alternatives Plc umbrella. Through this launch, the Fund seeks to provide investors access to TCW Group, Inc.’s (“TCW”) excellence in the Fixed Income space with the Unconstrained Plus Bond Strategy (the “Strategy”).

TCW is a global asset management firm that offers institutional and individual clients a variety of highly-ranked fixed income funds under the Metropolitan West Asset Management, LLC (“MetWest”) and TCW fund families.
This latest addition brings the total number of funds available through the FundLogic Alternatives Platform to 20 representing over $1.4 bn of assets under management.

David Armstrong, President and Founder of Longchamp Asset Management, who was appointed as the sole distributor of the Fund, added: “The MS TCW Unconstrained Plus UCITS Fund has been designed to operate with a wide investment latitude, allowing it to manage interest rate risk and deliver returns in all market environments while focusing on asset classes believed to offer the most attractive characteristics. The Fund may invest its assets in Government bonds, Investment Grade U.S. bonds, High Yield bonds, Emerging Markets bonds, Foreign Currencies, Asset-Backed and Mortgage-Backed securities, as well as Common and Preferred securities. The Strategy’s distinctive feature is its capacity to express a wide scope of duration scenarios from -3 to +8 years.”
